This really is a lovely rug! The pile is dense and quite plush, and the weight and construction is very good. I would recommend a non-slip rug pad under this, if one is planning to put this on wood or tile floors, however (we already had one, so no worries.) I love the free form pattern of the scattered leaves, and the colors are just as they are in the photo: plenty of dark and medium greens, some burgundy, and various shades of tan, all on a black background with a black border. I had worried about the black; if it would be "too much" in our livingroom which is mostly traditional, somewhat formal, with several antique pieces. It works, though. And, in fact, is really dynamic, forming a focal point for the furniture grouping and pulling all the room's colors together. What a find!
