My wife first saw this bed at a local store, where (after extensive negotiations) the salesperson agreed to "let it go" for $1250. We paid $350 less through Amazon. It was also delivered 5 weeks sooner than we would have received it from the furniture store. The bed came in several boxes and, at first, it seemed liked a big project. Assembly was extremely easy, however, and my daughter grew happier and happier as her bed came together. Once assembly was completed, my daughter's eyes lit up and she was extremely happy with her new bed. The piece looks great in her bedroom and we really don't need to buy anything else.
