A&F Rod Décor - NEW Decorative Curtain Rod #67 Review
I had been looking all over the 'net for a pair of black curtain rods with pineapple finials, to go with a wrought-iron coat rack I own. The closest I could find would have cost well over $100 for a pair of small rods (24-48") - over twice what these cost, including shipping! These are a lightweight, yet durable, painted metal, and are just the look I wanted - for a price I was happy to pay (even taking shipping into consideration). They are expandable, and each rod comes in two sections that must be assembled. They are packaged with spacers, so that they don't rub together and mar the finish. The rods simply slide together, then the finials can be inserted into the plastic endcaps. I had a slight problem with one - when inserting the finial, the plastic endcap got shoved into the rod, instead of the finial anchoring into the endcap. I pulled it out with needlenose pliers, and was able to insert the finial without incident.The finials are solid-feeling and look great. Other rods I was considering came with huge finials that would have overwhelmed my 36" wide windows. They looked fine online, and the size only became apparent when seeing them in a store, or scrutinizing the dimensions. These are just right - about 1-1/2" wide.
Mounting hardware is included with each curtain rod - which must be purchased separately for many other curtain rods. Overall, I am very pleased with these curtain rods, and highly recommend them.
