My only other experience with waffle knit was a cotton spa bathrobe so I wasn't sure what to expect with these. They are not cotton, rather some much heavier poly-blend. You would not want to cuddle up with these as a blanket or anything. That being said the fabric seems perfect for drapes, beautiful color, will be very easy to clean. Last night I slept with them closed and never realized how much light had been coming into my room before, so they definitely helped block light.
