I live in Oklahoma and have East and West facing windows..the West ones being double patio doors. The home gets so hot and are A/C is prtty high. I saw these advertised in a catalog and searched for them here. I couldnt beat the price, so I bought 4 of them for myh brother and I. I was skeptical when they arrived. It was simply mylar....but I gave it a shot. the room was darkened, cooler, we could see out, and when I stepped out, I could not see in! My brother laughed that it was like we were in a space ship, I said it was like a pan of JiffyPop! But it's AWESOME! I cant believe how much cooler the house is. it actually became a little too cool! Kitties, may be enticed by the curtian swaying if the A/C hits it, so I would recommend using a doorg snake to hold in down I tried the room darkening films, but I highly prefer these!Solar Curtain (30x81) Overview
