This doorway bead swag was just what I wanted for my daughter's 8th birthday. I was a little cautious because there were no reviews, but I was so happy when the package came! There was a sort of strip sewed on the beads halfway down, to keep them from getting tangled in shipping; it just pulled off. I was afraid the plastic beads would be cheap and lightweight and easily broken, but though they are obviously plastic, they are heavy-duty and seem well made. The larger beads are faceted and catch the light very prettily. We have them in a permanent tie-back position (see my customer photo above) so no worries about the plastic strands breaking, but even so the strands seem heavy enough to hold up to people walking thru them.
