This rod is metal and strong enough to hold oversized curtains, and the price is very low. Unfortunately the wood used in the mounts and end pieces is not very good stock, and looks pretty rough.That said, at its current price it is a good value, and the rough mounting hardware is mostly hidden behind the curtains anyway, and is also a dark brown which hides a lot of flaws.
If you don't need top quality, this is an excellent choice.
