The fabric is dense with a high quality feel to it so i think it will hold up well. It truly does block out light well--even on a sunny day with snow on the ground reflecting the light the room was dark when the curtains were pulled. The plastic clips worked well--after i figured out how to adjust the hook--no instructions given. you have to slide the hook to the bottom then restart it at the top and click it down. The only thing i wish was different on the curtains is that the pinch pleats were closer together. The curtain sags some between the hooks. Other than that great curtains.
