Cut to fit and hung the two panels up in our 18month old's room (to block out the sun and heat - 80-90degF temps outside). Within two days the room took on a terrible smell - a mix of chemicals and what smelt like an electricl fire. It took a day or two to work out what it was but we had to remove them as I feared it was making my daughter sick - she started coughing and seemed very tired. Having checked out other customer reviews for Eclipse blackout curtains on other sites I discoverd the smell is a common problem. Do not buy these curtains if you are going to expose them to direct sunlight/heat.
