Our couch is pilling and the cushions are compressed and uneven. I have been searching for a slip cover for it as we cannot afford to replace it just yet, and with an infant in the house it isn't the right time to make an investment. Many sofa covers I found were priced well over $100. At the time of purchase we paid just under $30. Yes the fabric is thin, but I find it to fit very well. My couch is on the larger side and long, with 3 full seat cushions and back cushions. I was able to drape and tuck this quickly and my couch looks to be in better shape than it actually is! After using all day without any adjustments there was only minor shifting. A few tucks and smoothing and back to looking perfect. ANY one-piece slip cover will need adjusting unless you pay well over 100 dollars for a 2+ piece slip cover or have one custom made to close around your cushions . For this price I was not expecting to like it so much. I really expected it to be very 'drapey' and to not get such a nice fit. It is still new to me so I cannot speak to wear over time (with washing, etc.). If you can sew, maybe you could buy some fabric and make one line this yourself. However, it isn't just a rectangle of fabric. It is shaped to go around the arms and has ties on each corner to keep it from looking like you just hung a sheet over it. I find it currently has some static cling, but it is winter in New England and I did not wash it before using. So far the cat hair is not sticking to it much. Overall I think this will suit our needs just fine until we can replace our sofa. If removing to wash isn't something you care to do I think it would be easy to pull the fabric under just enough to staple it and keep it from shifting. You could also buy the slip cover tubes or foam that you tuck into the cushions to help hold it in place. If I find that it spot cleans well enough I may do this to save on any hassle of tucking daily. That being said, I am a perfectionist, and if a few wrinkles or loose areas don't bother you then this stays in place just fine with regular use of a couch.
