I just received my valances a couple of days ago and inspected them upon arrival. There were no obvious stains, marks, tears, etc. There were several loose threads and some of the basting still left. No big deal, right? After washing them (I followed the washing instructions on the valances), I noticed that some of the circles with the animals have ripped/torn away from the valance material. It looks tacky when you actually get them hung up and the tears are obvious. I was so disappointed. I have bought Carter's for many years. But this is not the first, or second set of valances that I have had a problem with (in this theme). I ordered 2 other sets through a different website and they all (4 of them) had stains or tears on them. No one wants to pay good money to have them arrive to you that way. I thought I would try through Amazon (I've always had great success with) and on initial inspection they looked fine. Never again will I buy Carter's bedding. It's the poorest quality of work I have yet to see. I should have just bought some solid color valances that would have worked. Too bad:( Now I have to pay more money to fix them.
