We bought this double curtain rod to hang in a bedroom with a patio door (out to a deck) that gets a lot of light. We hung light-blocking panels on the inside rod to keep light out when people are sleeping. The curtain rod needed to be very long to go over the double door, and able to support the weight of curtains and the light-blocking panels without sagging in the center.
